The Iquitos Museum was inaugurated
On Friday February 28th was inaugurated The Iquitos Museum in part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the city. The museum born from the the convention of the Provincial Municipality of Maynas and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru; abundant material in the museum meets photographic, historical, artistic and ethnographic two specially adapted plants.

On the first floor displays the first 50 years of the history of the city of Iquitos, the biodiversity, the relationship between the river and the city of Iquitos, the rubber boom and the exposure of computer graphics and statistics. The second floor covers topics such as the decline of the rubber boom, exploitation of hydrocarbons and the transformation of the city in conjunction with historical data as the presence of the Navy of Peru in conflict with Colombia and Ecuador.
